In this wordle, I see my reflections from the case studies I read this semester in which I learned a great deal about student diversity. As the years pass, our students are becoming more and more diverse and we must adapt ourselves to this diversity. There may be students with two moms or two dads, students who have a gender identity that strays from the norm, or many other cases. Our students need to be educated on these topics so that in the future, students are never bullied for being "different." They need to learn to accept others and focus on what's on the inside rather than what is on the outside. We also have to think about what is best for our disabled students. If we know they are affected by loud noises, such as in Case 8.1, we need to create other ways for them to experience the fire drill but so that they will not be negatively affected by the loud noise it creates. Getting in contact with parents may be difficult, but having a conversation with one of the younger siblings translating is not the answer. Setting up a conference would have been better in Case 10.1, in order to keep the conversation more private, and to make sure the student did not end up feeling resentful.
