A little about myself...
My name is Jessica Garcia and I am a graduate of the Elementary Education program at the University of South Florida. I hope to make a positive impact on many children's lives in the future. My biggest reward as a teacher will be seeing my students grow as I support them in the classroom each and every day.
I have interned for two years at an elementary school located in Plant City. My first year as an intern I worked with second graders and my second year I worked with fourth graders. I am very grateful to have had hands-on experience in the classroom because it has taught me many things and has shown me that a teacher can be the most important role model in their students' lives.
My final internship consisted of many responsibilities such as planning for and teaching lessons, attending faculty meetings, grading, analyzing student data, differentiating activiities, communicating with parents, and many other things. My most important job ,however, was getting to know each student as best I could. By doing so, I built a connection that allowed me to support them as best I could. I believe that every child can be successful if we meet their needs and support them in every way they may possibly need.
